King's Daughters Profiles
Harriett Howard
Position Desired: Assistant Chaplain

I am submitting my name for consideration for the
position of Assistant Chaplain for the Eastern Region of the Federated King’s
Daughters.
In times like these, we need a Savior.
In times like these, we need an Anchor.
As we gather together year after year, a difference in our lives should
be seen. In order for this
difference to occur, our prayer lives must change.
We should always expect answers to our prayers; either immediately or at
a later time. One thing is certain,
and that is the answer will be revealed in the Lord’s time.
Jesus wants us to trust Him. For
it is this trust that helps us develop our faith in Him and, ultimately, gets us
ready for His Kingdom.
As Assistant Chaplain, I will help us develop this trust by
providing thought provoking devotions and worship.
With this as the hallmark of our organization, we can’t help but
experience a closer walk with the Master.
I am currently serving in the following capacities at the
Mt. Sinai Seventh-day Adventist church in Orlando, FL:
1.
Vice President of King’s Daughters Chapter 1
2.
Assistant Leader of the Senior Citizens Ministries; responsible
for preparing the worship services that we share with the sick and shut-in
members that we visit
3.
Assistant Sabbath School Superintendent, and Upper Division
Coordinator; responsible for anything relating to the Adult Sabbath School
classes
4.
Member of the National Alumni Association Oakwood College Central
Florida Chapter
5.
Member of the Mt. Sinai Junior Academy Alumni Association
6.
Assistant Head Deaconess
7.
Member of the Floral Club
I have read the duties and responsibilities of the
Assistant Chaplain. If elected, with
the help of Jesus, I am ready and willing to fulfill these requirements.
I am committed to helping each one of us get a little closer to heaven.
Even so, Lord Jesus, Come Quickly!!
Prayerfully submitted,
Harriett Howard

Alpha
Q. Footman
Position Desired: 1st Vice
President

I would like to introduce myself, I’m Alpha Q. Footman,
and I am candidate for the position of 1st Vice President of the
Eastern Region of Federated King’s Daughters.
I’m a Christian woman, wife, mother and an Entrepreneur; I decided to
make Jesus my choice over 40 years ago, and I am committed to serving Him in
spirit and in truth until the day I die. Because
I am committed to God’s Service I offer myself in His service and am desirous
of continuing to serve as your 1st Vice President.
I have a deep compassion and love for King’s Daughters, and I feel that
if given the opportunity to continue to serve this organization as 1st
President, I will work toward helping us to achieve a higher standard of
excellence, and help open the doors for younger women to be inspired to become a
part of this great spirit-filled organization.
As women of God we have shared the love of Jesus Christ to a dying world
in our actions and deeds by doing so, we have touched the hearts of women young
and old. We have encouraged them
through our actions and motto to keep their eyes on Jesus trusting Him with all
their hearts. Because of my sincere
desire to serve the Lord, King’s Daughters has given me a passion for caring
about others that I have never experience before.
I’ve been married to Joseph Footman Sr., for 25 years, I have 11
children and 13 grandchildren. I
attended Valencia Community with an AA Degree in Secretarial Science.
I’m presently employed with Orange County Public School at University
High School as an Administrative Support Assistant; my employment with OCPS has
exceeded 13 years of service. God
has placed me in a position and given me the opportunity to touch the lives of
students, and parents each day in a special way as they see Jesus in me they are
touched by His love.
I’m a member of Mt. Sinai Seventh-day Adventist Church in which I have
served for more than 35 years. Prior
to becoming an Adventist, I was an ordained minister in the Methodist Church. I
have served in many positions as a Seventh-day Adventist Christian; Women’s
Ministry Coordinator, School Board Member, CDC Board Member, Personal Ministries
Secretary, Assistant Secretary to Treasurer’s Department, Home and School
Leader, Assistant Church Clerk, Deaconess just to name a few.
I have been a member of the King’s Daughters organization for more than
17 years. I was a member of Orlando
Chapter I, for more than12 years and presently serve as President of Orlando
Chapter III. I’ve held several
offices in the Eastern Region of Federation King’s Daughters as followed;
Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Convention Coordinator, 2nd Vice
President, and presently I serve as 1st Vice President, all together
totaling 16 years of service. “To
God Be the Glory … Great Things He Has Done”.
It is a privilege and honor for me to be a King’s
Daughters in service for my King and my sisters, but I must confess, the work is
not easy, but the rewards are great. If
I am re-elected to serve as your 1st Vice President, I will continue
to give of my time, talents and finances freely to your service. I
will always put God first in all that I say and do, will constantly pray for
each of us they God will strengthen and keep us as we continue to be about our
Father’s business of winning souls for His kingdom.
It is a continuous challenge, but I’m willing to take on the challenges
with all that is within me because; “I can do all things to Christ which gives
me my strength.”
The Lord has given me many talents and I have committed them all to His
service. I’ve devoted many of
these talents in service to you my sisters in Christ, because I truly believe in
our motto: “Lifting as We
Climb.” Therefore if God impresses
on your hearts to allow me to continue to serve an awesome group of God fearing
Christian women; I will commit myself to your service, and whatever I find my
hands to do, I will by God’s grace do it to with all my heart, soul, mind and
strength to God’s name, Honor, and Glory as a servant of God and the Federated
King’s Daughters.
Thank you for the many years of service as your 1st Vice
President, and I am looking forward to continue the work God has called me to do
in His Name.
Sincerely,
Alpha Q. Footman
